Carpenter’s Wheel Christmas Stocking

I made this stocking for my husband Chris. He does woodworking and so I thought a carpenter’s wheel block was appropriate.

Bethlehem Rose Christmas Stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for myself.  I have never one before.  When growing up, my mom used to hang one of her old nylon hose (the single leg style) and fill it with unshelled mixed nuts, oranges, and apples.  Perhaps this was a throwback to her own childhood when they were lucky to receive even a single orange for Christmas.
I had made stockings for everyone in my family and decided it was my turn to make one for me.

Michaele's Christmas stocking

This is my first Christmas stocking I made.  It is for Michaele, my older daughter and was made when she was a toddler.
It is a Jan Hagara design and is embroidered with crewel yarn.

Jessica's Christmas stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for my daughter Jessica when she was a young girl.  It is a Jan Hagara design and is counted cross stitch.  It took many months to complete it.

Clayton's Christmas stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for my son in law, Clayton.
It is a Jan Hagara design and goes well with the stocking I made a long time ago for my daughter, Jessica.

The stocking is embroidered with crewel yarn.

Matt's Christmas stocking

I made this quilted stocking for my son in law, Matt.
He loves to golf, so I made a snowman golfing.

Jase's Christmas stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for my 1 year old grandson, Jase.
His daddy has a snowman on his stocking, so I decided to use a similar snowman as engineer of the Christmas Express train.  The wheels have buttons as their centers.

The wreath is embellished with tiny buttons and beads.

Hudson's Stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for my 3 year old grandson, Hudson.
He loves planes and so I decided to make a bi-plane with a golden bear as pilot.  The bear can be removed from the cockpit.

Star of the Magi Christmas Stocking

I made this Christmas stocking for my sister Susie.
The main block is called "Star of the Magi."
The toe block is "New York Beauty."
The stocking was machine pieced and quilted.
