Over 20 years ago I handquilted a heart sampler top for my sister. Since then I have wanted to make my own. 3 years ago I started collecting valentine fabrics while in Boise during the summer. Also I began collecting ideas for heart blocks. In January this year (2024), I decided to start the quilt. I drafted some of the blocks and also found a few free paper pieced blocks online. Each block is 6” finished.
I finished piecing the top in late January and finished quilting and binding it the first week in February. I pieced the backing to make a reversible quilt.
